Sheila
has been in private practice since 1997 and
is a Licensed Professional Counselor and
nationally certified biofeedback therapist.
She also holds a certification as a
quantitative EEG technologist and is a
master practitioner in neurolinguistic
programming (NLP). Sheila received her
Bachelors in psychology in 1989 from the
State University of New York at Oswego. She
received her Masters in counseling with an
emphasis on psychophysiology in 1991 from
the University of New York at Buffalo. She
is an active member of the National
Association for Applied Psychophysiology and
Biofeedback, The Society for the Study of
Neuronal Regulation, and Past President of
the Biofeedback Society of Texas where she
has presented case studies in biofeedback.
Sheila has trained clinicians across the
U.S. in cutting edge neurofeedback
techniques developed by a pioneering
organization in the field of EEG
Neurotherapy. She currently supervises
biofeedback candidates/providers and
neurofeedback candidates/providers through
the Biofeedback Certification Institute of
America. Sheila offers expertise in a full
range of biofeedback services to her clients
including EMG & EEG training in both
medical and psychological applications. She
has been highly effective working with both
children and adults.
As a
psychotherapist, Sheila joins her clients on
a journey toward true self discovery and
building strength and courage to live an
